Lessons learned from the COAST (Contemporary Outcomes After cutaneous SCC in Transplant recipients) study: management and outcomes following the first cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma in kidney transplant recipients

years.Outcomes sought over 3 years include local recurrence, locoregional metastases, distant metastases, or death. Results: The UKKCC biobank resides within NHS Greater Glasgow Tissue Biorepository which is a trusted research environment providing access to clinical data.A central pathology review panel ensures consistent tumour staging and supports pathology research. An initial focus on transcriptomics and immune profiling will be followed by other state-of-the-art 'omics' analyses as funding becomes available. The first validation study will involve 400 FFPE cSCC samples of known immune status with 100+ primary cSCC that metastasized. This cohort will be used to validate the recently published 20-gene signature predictive of cSCC metastasis [2].Conclusions: Through the national biobank and advanced research techniques, we aim to identify key molecular drivers, improve prognostic markers, and explore new treatment options for cSCC.With continued support, the UKKCC will play a key role in advancing research and clinical care in cSCC.Datasets will be publicly available, and we welcome collaborators wishing to join this endeavour.
