Rare Scalp Metastases from Malignant Phyllodes Tumor of the Breast: A Case Report
Background: Phyllodes breast tumors (PTs) are rare fibroepithelial neoplasms, accounting for less than 1% of primary breast malignancies. PTs originate from the periductal stroma, and a small proportion of them exhibit malignant potential with the ability to metastasize. While metastases typically occur hematogenously, most often affecting the lungs and bones, skin metastases are exceptionally rare.To date, only two prior cases of scalp metastases without brain or cervical involvement have been reported.
