Efficacy and safety of lifileucel, an autologous tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte cell therapy, and pembrolizumab in patients with immune checkpoint inhibitor–naive unresectable or metastatic melanoma: updated results from IOV-COM-202 Cohort 1A

Background: Lifileucel, a one-time autologous tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte cell therapy, is approved for advanced (unresectable or metastatic) melanoma previously treated with a PD-1-blocking antibody, and, if BRAF V600 mutation–positive, a BRAF inhibitor with or without a MEK inhibitor. Cohort 1A of the IOV-COM-202 study (NCT03645928) assesses the efficacy and safety of lifileucel and pembrolizumab in an earlier setting for patients with immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI)–naive advanced melanoma.
