Discontinuation of BRAF/MEK Inhibitor Therapy after Long-lasting Response: Clinical Outcomes in Advanced Melanoma
Background: BRAF and MEK inhibitors (BRAFi/MEKi) offer high response rates and rapid tumor regression in BRAF-mutant metastatic melanoma. However, objective responses have a median duration of only 12 months. Approximately 24% of patients achieve progression-free survival beyond 3 years, but the impact of discontinuing BRAFi/MEKi after long-lasting responses remains unexplored.
