ANALYSIS OF ADS-B TECHNOLOGY CAPABILITIES DURING RADAR ALIGNMENT
The subject of research in the article is to analyze the capabilities of ADS-B technology during the alignment of radar of radio engineering troops. The aim of the study is to analyze the technical capabilities of ADS-B receivers during their use in the course of radar alignment of radio engineering troops. Objectives: a brief analysis of the known methods of alignment of the radar of the radio engineering troops, analysis of the factors influencing the accuracy of determining the coordinates of air objects, a brief analysis of the capabilities of ADS-B technology, a detailed analysis of the capabilities of ADS-B technology during the alignment of the radar of the radio engineering troops. Methods used: methods of passive radar, methods of determining the coordinates of air objects, methods of mathematical analysis and differential calculus, methods of probability theory and mathematical statistics. The following results were obtained. The main disadvantages of the known methods of alignment of the radar of the radio engineering troops were identified. The factors affecting the accuracy of determining the coordinates of air objects are determined. The possibility of applying the technology of automatic dependent observation to improve the accuracy of determining the coordinates of air objects is established. The possibilities of radar alignment using ADS-B technology are analyzed. The main advantages of the additional use of ADS-B technology for the alignment of radar in comparison with existing methods are determined. Conclusions. The scientific novelty of the results obtained is as follows. Improving the accuracy of the radar alignment of radio engineering troops was achieved through the use of ADS-B technology. The advantages of the additional use of ADS-B technology for alignment of radar of radio engineering troops in comparison with existing methods are simplification of the alignment process, determination of corrections without removing the radar from the normal operating mode, the possibility of using random air objects equipped with ADS-B transponders and located in the detection area of radar of radio engineering troops as objects of control.
