Retrospective study of the effectiveness of scleral buckling under direct vision with operating lamp illumination in 17 cases of retinal detachment associated with retinal dialysis
Scleral buckling under direct vision with an operating lamp illumination is safe and effective in the treatment of RD associated with retinal dialysis. In this technique, the operation is visually aided by magnified images that are the real, erect image of the retina, which makes the procedure relatively easy to perform. It has a lower requirement for previous training of the operator and operational instruments, which makes it easier to be adopted in the outpatient setting.
