Dynamics of Siberian fir generative development in mountain forest ecosystems of Southern Siberia

Phenology and climatological studies of the timing of the onset and duration of the dynamics of seasonal processes of plants, as well as the time intervals between different stages of development, characterise the seasonal rhythm of nature - an inevitable background against which life activity and, in particular, human economic activity is carried out. Understanding the peculiarities and dynamics of development of forest-forming coniferous plant species is important both for the knowledge of developmental biology and for the development of local nature management systems under conditions of constantly changing environment. Only long-term average dates with reference to the sum of temperatures accumulated at a certain stage of development express the most probable course of seasonal processes for a certain area, the normal sequence of phenological phenomena. Studies of the dynamics of development of generative structures of Siberian fir in different parts of the mountains of South Siberia and at different altitudinal levels allowed us to establish the timing of seasonal development, their dependence on the temperature factor and differences in the sensitivity of individual developmental stages.
