Life as a journey brings along with it cotravelers and some destinations. The current office, given a mandate last year to steer our parent society on the journey, it was on, with the destinations predetermined. However, on the path treaded this year, we found many cotravelers in our colleagues all across the country and they only helped us identify many new milestones. We traveled together, crossed many of these and continued yet to march on further. The year gone by has witnessed several significant milestones that underscored our commitment to advancing periodontal education, research, and clinical practice. The successful launch of the Indian Society of Periodontology (ISP) Implant Research Grants, which saw an overwhelming response of over 70 research proposals, with 32 outstanding projects selected for funding. This initiative has laid a strong foundation for innovation in implantology and this year we are aiming at expanding our research grant support for over 70 grants across the country in total. The expansion of Oral Hygiene Day into a week-long national campaign, engaging 104 colleges last year has broadened our outreach to dental, nursing, and allied health students, as well as the general public. This has proved the impeccable dedication and commitment of our society members throughout the nation. Our continued efforts in community outreach programs, ensuring wider awareness and prevention strategies for periodontal health, reinforcing ISP’s role as a leader in public health initiatives. As we embark on a new journey in our golden jubilee year 2025, our vision for future is to promote excellence in periodontal care, education, and research in India. Our key goals for the upcoming year include hosting the 49th National Conference of ISP in New Delhi as a landmark event, like never before featuring renowned speakers, cutting-edge research, and hands-on workshops to bridge the gap between research and clinical practice. Further, the society targets to strengthen its focus on dental implant research and education, ensuring that periodontists continue to lead the way in implantology. ISP aims at expanding our collaborations with national and international organizations, fostering knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary research initiatives at a global dimension. To achieve these objectives, we will continue to foster innovation, encourage professional development, and provide a robust platform for the members to grow and contribute to the advancement of periodontology. I invite all the members to join us in this exciting journey, sharing your ideas, expertise, and enthusiasm. Together, let us strive to elevate the standards of periodontal care in India and beyond. Thank you for your continued support, commitment and dedication to ISP. Sincerely
