Epidermolysis Bullosa Acquisita as a Rare Late-Onset Immune-Related Adverse Event after Anti-PD-1-Based Immunotherapy: Case Presentation and Review of the Literature
Background: Epidermolysis bullosa acquisita (EBA) is a rare autoimmune blistering disease caused by autoantibodies targeting type VII collagen (COL7), a component of anchoring fibrils in the basement membrane zone. These autoantibodies lead to subepidermal cleavage, resulting in skin and mucosal fragility. Although EBA has been linked to infections, autoimmune diseases, and hematologic conditions, drug-induced EBA is poorly understood.
