Infliximab for treatment of corticosteroid-refractory immune checkpoint inhibitor-induced hepatitis in patients with melanoma
Dermatoscopy of a superficial spreading melanoma on the dorsum of the left foot. Results: Patient remained free of disease progression at one year follow-up.Conclusions: Paediatric and adolescent melanomas are very rare with an estimated incidence of one per million in ages up to 14 years old and 71 per million in adolescents [1].Up to today there is only limited information concerning the safety and efficacy of PD-1 checkpoint inhibitors for the treatment of advanced melanoma in these age groups [2].Age specific treatment protocols through multidisciplinary authorities and cohort studies are needed in order to ensure the best possible outcomes for paediatric and young adolescent melanoma patients.1.
