Management of melanoma recurrence after adjuvant therapy
Background: Immunotherapy (IO) and targeted therapy (TT) have improved recurrence-free survival (RFS) and distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS) in stage IIB/C and stage III/IV completely resected melanoma. Nevertheless, approximately 50% of patients develop recurrent disease within 5 years despite adjuvant therapy (ADJ). Moreover, following ADJ, data on the management and outcomes after disease progression are poor. This study aims to assess the efficacy of post-recurrence therapies after ADJ IO or TT failure in a real-world, single-center retrospective study.
