An Innovative Router Method for Ad-hoc Vehicle Networks Employing Ant Colony Optimization

Providing high-quality service is one of the biggest issues faced by Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs). These networks support a variety of Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication modalities and enable automobiles to send and receive crucial data, such as road impediments and accidents. This investigation intends to minimize network overhead and promote routing efficiency by offering an ingenious method to enhance path selection between vehicles and raise service excellence. The Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) protocol combines Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) through the proposed technique. Through implementation and simulation studies using the network simulator (NS3) and Simulation of Urban Mobility (SUMO), the efficacy of the above approach is verified. The suggested approach surpasses the conventional OLSR algorithm with regard to of throughput, end-to-end delay (E2ED), and average packet delivery rate (PDR), and other indicators, in accordance with simulation data.
