Incidence of Melanoma in a retrospective study of 1000 dermoscopic cases

sequence of photos. This procedure takes about 60 seconds.Equipment and protocol involved in clinical tests: a) Tools used: metal tripod, articulated arm, camera with infrared sensor and computer; b) Adjusting the camera position according to the location of the patient's injury; c) Cooling the lesion with a cooled gel pack for active thermography. Results: One hundred and one lesions suspicious of skin cancer were analyzed before surgery. After the pathology diagnosis, an accuracy of 91% was obtained in infrared dermoscopy with temperature recovery (IDTR) versus 26% accuracy in conventional infrared dermoscopy (CID).In the study, was evaluated BCC, SCC, Melanome and others lesions in a skin cancer triage study.Conventional Infrared Dermoscopy (CID) and Infrared Dermoscopy with Temperature Recovering (IDTR) in different types of lesions: A) CID in BCC, B) IDTR in BCC, C) CID in SCC, D) IDTR in SCC, E) CID in Melanoma and F) IDTR in Melanoma. Conclusions:The IDTR showed significantly higher accuracy compared to CID, suggesting that the thermodiagnosis can substantially improve the detection of malignant lesions. These findings are consistent with existing literature indicating the efficacy of thermodiagnosis in dermatology. The increased diagnostic accuracy allows for more effective screening, prioritization of consultations, and treatments, thus promoting cost reduction and enhancing the chances of cure for skin cancer patients.
