A one year multicenter retrospective study of rare melanoma sub-types in an African cohort
Background: In the last few years, there has been an increased incidence of melanoma in all populations. The incidence is increasing more worldwide in white population where fair skin individuals receive excessive sun exposure. Melanoma is an uncommon disease in African populations however when it occurs it is often diagnosed late with a poor prognosis.
