Antia and Buch Flap as an Alternative for Helix Reconstruction After Mohs Surgery: a Case Report
Background: Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most prevalent skin cancer and constitutes a significant public health concern. The NCCN 2024 [1] guidelines recommend Mohs Micrographic Surgery (MMS) for BCC in high-risk areas and tumors, given its high cure rates and preservation of healthy tissue. Non-melanoma skin cancers frequently affect the helix, which represents an important high-risk area and a challenging reconstruction, due to its complex cartilaginous structure, functional role, and difficult aesthetic preservation.
