Quality Control and Management System for Construction Products

The main elements of the modern system of control and quality management of construction products are considered. The definition of «construction quality» is given and the most important groups of factors determining it are named. It is noted that the quality of a construction object should be formed at all stages of its creation: pre-production (planning, design, production of construction materials and products, their delivery to the construction site), production (construction and installation process), and post-production (acceptance into operation and exploitation). The fundamental principles of the unified quality management system of construction products are formulated. The important role of introducing the method of brigade contracting and other rational forms of internal economic calculation in solving the problems of quality of construction and installation works is noted. Based on the analysis of regional and national sectoral issues, the authors propose a comprehensive quality management system for construction products based on the principles of standardization, system approach, feedback, and dynamism. At the same time, the authors note that the purpose of the QSQMS, created at specific enterprises of the industry, should be constant compliance of the quality of construction products with the requirements of regulatory documentation and increase on this basis the organizational and technological level of construction production. The importance of material and moral stimulation of labor of workers of the branch, and also the introduction of effective sanctions for the low quality of production, the organization of effective claim and search work, taking into account all the most important changes of modern normative and legislative base is underlined. The list of the most important measures, which in aggregate will provide improvement in the quality of building production, is defined.
