REMANENTES DE UN PATRIMONIO ARQUITECTÓNICO E HIDRÁULICO INCA, EN EL CURSO MEDIO DEL RÍO MAIPO. (REGIÓN METROPOLITANA DE CHILE)

The purpose of this article, prepared from the Cultural Geography, is to map the recognition made from archaeological and bibliographic reports, as well as through the use of historical sources, referring to architectural remnants present in the territory of occupation of Tahuantinsuyo. This background made it possible to explore two settlements located both north and south of the middle course of the Maipo River; these are: Cerrillos de Tango (dominated by the Huaca de Chena) and Angostura de Paine (mostly controlled by the Huaca de las Ruinas de Chada) located in the south of the Metropolitan Region of Chile. Like wise, it points out how such occupation involved the local Aconcagua culture through the interdigitation processes carried out during the course of the fourteenth, fifteenth and sixteenth centuries A.D.
