Methods of Mine Electrical Prospecting for Solving Mining and Geological Problems
The Karaganda coal basin is characterized by a complex structure. The presence of geological inconsistencies, such as tectonic disturbances, erosion, variable formation hypsometry, etc., complicates underground mining operations. Currently, methods of mine geophysics are widely used in the world practice to study the geological structure and to solve various mining problems. At the end of the 20th century, in the Karaganda basin, methods of mine geophysics began to be applied. Such methods include mine seismic prospecting and mine electrical prospecting. The article presents the method of measurements in mine conditions, shows the results of testing the method of performing field work in mine conditions, obtaining characteristics of high contrast and clear traceability of violations.
