An Adaptive Inertia and Damping Control of VSG with Four-leg inverter for Photovoltaics-Storage Grid Connected System
Virtual synchronous generator (VSG) is a practical method to solve stability problems related to the growth of photovoltaic (PV) cells. However, when using traditional topology and control strategies, the system’s anti-interference ability is weak. Proposed adaptive inertia and damping control for four bridge VSG inverters to improve system strength. The topology and control strategies of photovoltaics-storage grid connected system is presented. The results indicate that even with the addition of unbalanced charges, the output voltage can remain balanced. In addition, based on the angular frequency fluctuation curve of the synchronous generator (SG), VSG adaptive inertia and damping control is proposed to enhance system stability and performance. The results indicate that compared with traditional management strategies, the system’s dynamic response has been improved and redundancy has been reduced. Finally, MATLAB/Simulink is used; the adaptive inertia and damping control of VSG with four-leg inverter for photovoltaics-storage grid connected system is verified by simulation and results.
