Optimization of Operating Frequency for Flexible Low-Frequency Transmission Systems Considering Multiple Variables
Flexible low-frequency transmission technology offers notable economic benefits for offshore wind power transmission in deep and remote sea areas. The selection of system operating frequency is the key to constructing a flexible low-frequency transmission system. Therefore, this paper studies optimal frequency selection for flexible low-frequency transmission systems. First, the impact caused by frequency changes on the cost of key components in flexible low-frequency transmission systems is analyzed. Then, the key equipment’s loss in flexible low-frequency transmission system is calculated, and the discounted electrovalency of the losses is computed based on the discounted cash flow model. Finally, the costs of flexible low-frequency transmission systems at different frequencies, typical capacities, and typical distances are calculated.
