A Dynamic Scheduling Strategy for Electric Vehicles Considering Multi-Area Power Supply
Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology refers to the technology of electric vehicles (EVs) to send electricity to the grid, and it focuses on using the stored energy of a large number of electric vehicles as a buffer between the grid and renewable energy. Although some optimal V2G scheduling of EVs for grid peak demand management have been discussed in recent years, the scheduling scheme of charging and discharging between multiple areas by taking advantage of the mobility of EVs has not been studied much. In this paper, we construct a simplified model of multiple power supply areas with several electric vehicles available, and design a dynamic scheduling strategy to optimize the behavior of each EV, which aiming at reducing the overload and transportation costs. With the scheduling strategy we proposed, the global optimal solution of this problem can be found. The simulation results show that our dynamic scheduling strategy can significantly reduce the total costs of the multi-EV multi-area system.
