Research on Engineering Design of AC-DC Hybrid Distribution Network for the Integration of New Generation and Load
With the large-scale integration of renewable energy sources and electric vehicles, traditional AC distribution networks face challenges in meeting regulatory requirements. AC-DC hybrid distribution systems, offering advantages such as large capacity, low losses, and ease of integrating new power sources and loads, are increasingly applied in distribution grids. In this study, we evaluate the design of an AC-DC hybrid distribution network based on the demonstration project in Hubei Province. Based on the four-port power electronic transformer, the system architecture and main wiring mode are designed. The operation mode of the system is preliminarily designed, and the main technical requirements of the electrical primary and secondary are determined. The overcurrent and overvoltage characteristics of the system are simulated and analyzed, and the overcurrent tolerance requirements of the system are proposed. This research introduces new technological solutions and provides simulation validation, offering valuable reference points for future projects.
