Multi-Objective Optimal Design of High Power, High Frequency, High Voltage Transformer Considering Insulation for DC distribution Grid

As DC distribution networks demonstrate widespread application potential in areas such as distributed generation and urban microgrids, high-power dc transformers are becoming more and more important. It is also called dc energy router, and offers various the functions such as voltage regulation, power flow control, isolation, etc. The core component of the dc energy router, high-frequency transformers, has become increasingly crucial. This paper presents a multi-objective optimization design scheme considering high insulation standards for high-frequency transformers. It is a $750 \mathrm{~V} / 50 \mathrm{kVA}$ transformer with a withstand voltage of 35 kV. The adoption of a double-layer insulation structure enhances insulation reliability, and an optimized selection method for internal insulation copper foil strips is presented. Based on the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm, a multi-objective optimization is conducted, comprehensively considering transformer efficiency, power density, and leakage inductance, to optimize the design of the windings and magnetic core. Finally, the effectiveness of the design scheme is verified.
