Probing heavy-ion fusion reaction 136Xe + 64Zn in inverse kinematics

An experiment using 136 Xe beam to bombard natural zinc ( n a t Zn) target was performed at Heavy Ion Medical Accelerator in Chiba (HIMAC) to investigate the fusion reaction in the near-symmetric system. The fusion-evaporation cross sections were obtained by the direct measurement of α -decay spectroscopy of the evaporation residues. In this paper, the details of the experimental setup and the extracted excitation function are presented.

The fusion-evaporation cross sections were obtained by the direct measurement of α -decay spectroscopy of the evaporation residues.
