Low Complexity PAPR Reduction Algorithm of OTFS Signal for Integrated Sensing and Communications Systems
With the advancement of integrated sensing and communications technology, Orthogonal Time Frequency Space (OTFS) modulation has emerged as an attractive technique in this field due to its superior performance in high-speed mobile environments. However, the high Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) of OTFS signals can significantly degrade communication quality, severely limiting their widespread application in practical communication systems. To address this issue, we propose a low-complexity ZCT-TCPTS-ITR algorithm adopting Zadoff-Chu (ZC) sequence precoding, Threshold-Clipping-PTS(TCPTS) algorithm, and Iterative Tone Reservation (ITR) algorithm. Through simulation experiments, we have verified that this algorithm significantly reduces PAPR while maintaining a computational complexity of only 7.38% of the traditional PTS algorithm, with minimal impact on the signal's Bit Error Rate (BER) performance. The results of this study provide an effective solution to the PAPR issue of OTFS modulation technology in integrated sensing and communications systems.
