Enhancing Performance through the Integration of LSTM and ARCH Model for Monitoring and Predicting Air Pollution
Any chemical, physical, or biological substance that changes the way the air normally works is called an air pollutant. Either indoors or outside, air pollution is possible. Significantly harmful pollutants to human health include particulates, ozone, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, and sulphur dioxide. Environmental and indoor air pollution, a major source of illness and death, is a factor in respiratory and other disorders. LSTM networks are well adapted to categorising, analysing, and forecasting results from analyses of time series as there may be unanticipated lags between major events in time sequences. A model for a time series variance is known as an ARCH (auto-regressive conditionally heteroscedastic) model. It is possible to characterise a fluctuating, potentially unpredictable variance using ARCH models. The majority of the time, an ARCH model is utilised in circumstances where there may be brief spikes in variation, even if it could theoretically be used to explain a variance that increases continuously over time. The goal of this project is to create a novel hybrid forecasting model that employs a feature selection method utilising the ARCH algorithm and a long-short-term memory neural network (LSTM). A consequence of careless human action is poor air quality and climate variability. Many respiratory disorders are brought on by PM2.5, which penetrates the lungs and heart. To safeguard the ecosystem and all of its inhabitants, including human beings, development in air quality prediction is essential.
