Modeling the Dynamic Network for Determined Communication of UAV Swarm
With the rapid advancements in communication technology and the evolving dynamics of the modern battlefield, the deployment of UAV swarms in combat scenarios has become increasingly prevalent. The execution of combat missions by UAV swarms requires deterministic communication to ensure multi- UAV coordination. However, wireless networks are significantly influenced by environmental factors and the dynamic changes in network topology during UAV swarm flight present considerable challenges in maintaining deterministic communication for combat missions. To verify whether UAV swarm scenarios can support deterministic communication for combat missions, this paper analyzes and models the dynamic network characteristics of UAV swarms and develops an evaluation model for deterministic communication in dynamic networks. First, the paper analyzes the cluster control and network topology conditions required to achieve deterministic communication in UAV swarm scenarios. It then models the channel quality of the wireless environment and the queuing of UAV node traffic, capturing the boundary effects of dynamic topology changes on end-to-end deterministic transmission. Subsequently, the model is used to evaluate the end-to-end communication performance of combat missions within the UAV swarm. Finally, a simulation experiment scenario is constructed using STK (Satellite Tool Kit) and Exata. The simulation results show that the proposed deterministic communication model effectively constrains the dynamics of the UAV swarm to meet the end-to-end deterministic transmission requirements of combat missions, thereby validating the feasibility of achieving end-to-end deterministic communication within UAV swarms.
