Numerical Simulation and Experimental Research on Water Distribution for Compact Converter Valve Module
The uniformity of water distribution in the converter valve cooling system is one of the important factors affecting the safe and reliable operation of the converter valve. The parallel water channel layout of the converter valve module can ensure that each cooled component has a good cooling effect, and the pipeline layout is relatively simple, but the uneven flow distribution in the parallel pipeline will affect the heat dissipation effect of the component. Aiming at the structure of a compact converter valve module, CFX numerical simulation is used to analyse the flow distribution of double radiator series branches, single radiator branch and reactor branches, and to guide the parameter configuration of single radiator branch damping tube. Meanwhile the test and simulation results are compared and analysed to verify the feasibility of the simulation method. And the radiator table temperature measurement test is carried out on the synthetic circuit to calibrate the thyristor junction temperature and meet the temperature operation requirements, which verifies the reliability of the water distribution method. It provides a reliable design verification method for the cooling system water distribution problem of water-cooled primary equipment such as flow-exchange valve.
