Analysis of Resource Configuration for Power Quality Control in Distribution Network with High Proportion Distributed PV
With the promotion of “peak carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality”, photovoltaic (PV) generation has seen a recorded increase in a decade. It has become an inevitable trend for masses of PV generation to be integrated into distributed power systems. Different from conventional fossil-based generation, PV generation is connected to the distributed power system through grid-connected converters (GCCs), having fast-adjusting ability but being low-inertia and nonlinear, which leads to numerous power quality issues that have emerged in distribution networks. In this paper, a power quality resource configuration method for distribution power systems with a high proportion of distributed PV access is proposed to reduce the power quality influence caused by PV generation integration. Firstly, the principle of PV generation’s influence on the power quality of the distribution power system is analyzed, especially in voltage deviation. Based on the analysis and current research on resource configuration, a novel power quality resource configuration method is proposed. Finally, a real distribution power system with high-penetrated distributed PV is adopted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. The result indicates that the proposed power quality resource configuration method could meet the needs of the actual distribution network scenario.
