Research on the Impact Effect of Online Ride hailing Management Policies on Urban Public Transportation

In recent years, various regions across the country have successively introduced management policies for ride hailing services, but the strictness of these policies varies. In order to study the impact of different ride hailing management policies on urban public transportation operations, this study established an efficiency evaluation model for ride hailing total control and market regulation policies based on the difference in differences (DID) method. The study analyzed public transportation operation data from 8 cities from 2012 to 2022, and the results showed that ride hailing total control policies have a positive impact on urban public transportation compared to market regulation policies. The research conclusion provides important reference for better management of ride hailing services and promoting the healthy and sustainable development of urban public transportation.
