An Overview of the Trend of Cognitive Translating Theories abroad since the New Century
Using CiteSpace as a research tool, this paper analyzes 245 papers on Cognitive Translating Theories (CTT) sourced from Web of Science Core Collection database. The analysis focuses on publication time, co-author, keywords, and their clustering relationships. The findings reveal that: (1) research on CTT abroad emerged at the turn of the century, experienced a phase of slow growth (2000-2008), followed by development (2009-2014), and had a marked expansion (2015-2023); (2) hot issues of concern are diverse and quite cutting-edge; (3) studies on CTT primarily concentrate on four major fields: cognitive linguistic translation, cognitive psychological translation, cognitive pragmatic translation, and cognitive neural translation.
