A IMPORTÂNCIA DA DOCÊNCIA NA ENFERMAGEM PARA A FORMAÇÃO TÉCNICA E CUIDADOS A PACIENTES COM ESTOMIAS
Objective: To analyze the importance of nursing education in professional technical training, highlighting the impacts of qualified education in improving the care provided to patients with ostomies. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review, carried out based on a bibliographic survey in the Virtual Health Library (VHL), using the following Health Sciences Descriptors: “Ostomy”, “Nursing Care” and “Nursing Technician”, from 2015 to 2025. Results: The research showed that the increase in ostomies and associated complications, such as peristomal dermatitis and infections, requires qualified and well-trained professionals. It also demonstrated that robust and continuous technical training of nursing professionals directly impacts the reduction of complications and the improvement of the quality of life of ostomized patients. Teaching, combined with innovative educational strategies and continuing education, proved to be essential to prepare professionals, allowing for a comprehensive and humanized approach. Furthermore, the studies highlighted the relevance of integrating theory and practice, the use of educational technologies, and the implementation of standardized protocols to qualify care and strengthen patient autonomy. Conclusion: Investing in teacher training and updating nursing technicians was essential to improve care for patients with ostomies, promoting safety, humanization, and quality of life.
