Target localization method for lightning fault unmanned aerial vehicle inspection based on optical wavelength division multiplexing technology

Due to the difficulty in ensuring the quality of original lightning fault data, the positioning effect often cannot meet practical needs. Therefore, a lightning fault unmanned aerial vehicle inspection target positioning method based on optical wavelength division multiplexing technology is proposed. Based on the system structure of wireless laser communication transmitter, a transmission mechanism for unmanned aerial vehicle inspection data embedded with optical wavelength division multiplexing technology was designed. 1542nm, 1546nm, 1550nm, and 1554nm were selected as the four working wavelengths to carry out the transmission of raw lightning fault data. After converting the lightning fault target pixels in the drone inspection image from the image plane coordinate system to the spatial Cartesian coordinate system, the coordinates of the lightning fault target are calculated using the collinearity of the drone centroid, the lightning fault target pixels in the drone inspection image, and the location of the lightning fault target. In the test results, the distance between the positioning results of the design method and the actual fault location is always within 30.0m, which can provide reliable guidance for subsequent maintenance and management work, and the efficiency is significantly higher than that of the control group.
