Research on cultural heritage protection based on fixed parameter wavelet algorithm
This article proposes a cultural relic image compression algorithm based on wavelet packet transform. By optimizing the wavelet packet basis selection and quantization strategy, the compression efficiency has been significantly improved while ensuring image quality. The study designed an optimal base selection strategy based on a fixed threshold, using a quantitative matrix of human eye visual properties, combined with null tree coding techniques. The experimental results show that the algorithm outperforms the JPEG2000 standard in terms of compression ratio, peak signal-to-noise ratio, and visual quality. Algorithms have important application value in the construction of large-scale cultural relic image databases.
