Shenlian Extract Protects against Ultrafine Particulate Matter-Aggravated Myocardial Ischemic Injury by Inhibiting Inflammation and Cell Apoptosis.
Overall, both <i>in vivo</i> and <i>in vitro</i> experiments demonstrated that SL attenuated UPM-aggravated myocardial ischemic injury by inhibiting inflammation and cell apoptosis. The mechanisms were related to the downregulation of macrophages infiltrating heart tissues.
