Spatial distribution analysis of Karez in Hami region based on analytic hierarchy process

Taking the Karez in Hami area as the research object, this paper comprehensively applied the software such as ENVI and ArcGIS, and adopted the research method combining the spatial distribution analysis and data statistics to carry out a systematic analysis and research on the distribution characteristics of the watered Karez and the waterless Karez. The result of the study indicated that the Karez distributed in the range of 3984m to 4100m difference in elevation, the feature class of the dessert, the slope of 0°~1.8°, the orientation of south, and the sand content of the surface soil in the range of 420g/kg to 453g/kg should be given priority attention. In addition, this study used the analytic hierarchical process method to quantitatively determine the influence of each environmental factor in the spatial distribution of Karez, which in turn provides a valuable reference for the direction of Karez protection.

In addition, this study used the analytic hierarchical process method to quantitatively determine the influence of each environmental factor in the spatial distribution of Karez, which in turn provides a valuable reference for the direction of Karez protection.
