Research progress of nowcasting precipitation forecast
As an important basis for weather warning and emergency rescue, precipitation forecast plays an important role in taking preventive measures in time and reducing the loss of life and property. The 0~6h nowcasting precipitation forecast has an important early warning function in dealing with the flood disaster caused by sudden strong convective rainfall. This paper reviews the latest research progress of nowcasting based on radar echo extrapolation, numerical model nowcasting, now-casting based on deep learning and nowcasting based on fusion algorithm at home and abroad, and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of various nowcasting methods. The shortcomings of the current nowcasting are summarized and the research directions of the follow-up focus are clarified, in order to lay the foundation for the further development of nowcasting in the future.
