SEASONS AS INTERPRETED BY LINA KOSTENKO: IMAGES OF NATURE IN THE COLLECTION "HERACLITUS RIVER"

The article argues for the originality of the artistic technique in modeling a work that is associated with seasonal periods (winter, spring, summer, autumn) in nature. Examples of specific works with the same title "Seasons" in various arts (literature, painting, music, ballet) are considered. Lina Kostenko's collection "The River of Heraclitus" is also organized in accordance with the already mentioned natural cycles. Despite the popularity of the artist's work and recognition, the collection "River of Heraclitus" has not been systematically researched, which indicates the relevance of our research. However, in the last decade, images of nature in Lina Kostenko's poetry have been analyzed by Z.Vasylko, D.Drozdovsky, L.Kravets, N.Krylovets, and V.Sayenko. The purpose of the article is to analyze the features of the creation of images of nature that appear in the thematic cycles of the collection "The River of Heraclitus". The presentation of the main material draws attention to the fact that the cycle of life of the lyrical heroine and nature in the collection begins with the cycle "Autumn Carnivals". Such an organization of "Rivers of Heraclitus" is not accidental, and this is explained by the editor of the book, O.Pakhlyovska. It has been observed that the first section of the book is represented by poems whose titles directly refer the reader to the autumn period. The overall image of autumn in most works is formed by mini-images of the forest, birds, day, garden, house, individual trees, bushes, and rain. The poetics of the texts “The hay still smells. The wasps are still swarming”, “Listopad”, “Magpie, don’t scream!”, “Birds spent the night on the estuary” are analyzed. The cycle "The Dazzling Magnesium of Snowy Deserts" contains poems whose titles also indicate the winter season; the works are united by the concept of loneliness, which reveals the negative feelings of the lyrical heroine; frequent are mini-images of snow, trees, villages, memories, and the color black. The artistic features of the poems "Snowflakes shimmer on the eyelashes of silence" and "My memory cries over the snow" are analyzed. The poems in the cycle "Spring Will Raise Glasses of Tulips" clearly contrast with the motifs of the previous section of the collection. Images of rain, various flowers, gardens in bloom, and acacias (a biographical fact) dominate the literary texts. The poem "Lucky Girl, I Have a Little Bit of Heaven" is commented on in more detail. The fourth cycle "What did we have? Love and Summer" is distinguished by the predominance in the works of such images as a garden, forest, thunderstorm, village, city, and childhood memories; praising love through natural phenomena. The features of the creation of the artistic world of the poetry "Slides" are considered. Prospects for further research of the collection "The River of Heraclitus" are seen in the study of synesthesia in poetry.

The article argues for the originality of the artistic technique in modeling a work that is associated with seasonal periods (winter, spring, summer, autumn) in nature. Examples of specific works with the same title "Seasons" in various arts (literature, painting, music, ballet) are considered.
