UKRAINIAN STUDIES IN CROATIA: THE FIRST UKRAINIAN STUDIES CONFERENCE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ZAGREB

The article presents the scientific chronicle of the International Scientific Ukrainian Studies Conference in Memory of Raisa Trostynska, which was the first event of this scale in the history of Croatian Ukrainian Studies. The state of the study of the Ukrainian language and literature at the University of Zagreb is characterized, the formation and development of Ukrainian Studies in Croatia under the leadership of the well-known philologist Raisa Trostynska is described. The main problems raised at the conference are outlined, and the prospects for Ukrainian Studies in Croatia are determined. The reports presented at the plenary session and sectional meetings of the scientific conference are characterized.
