PERIPHRASTIC EXPRESSIONS AND NOVELTIES TO DENOTE VLADIMIR PUTIN (BASED ON THE MATERIAL OF FANTASTIC STORIES FROM THE “LITAVITSA” WEBSITE)

The proposed study analyses the media image of Vladimir Putin embodied through periphrastic expressions and novelties in the texts of science fiction stories published in 2022 and 2023 on the website of science fiction stories Litavitsa. The relevance of the article lies in the fact that lexemes referring to the Russian invaders and the leader of the terrorist country continue to saturate the Internet space and represent a voluminous material for research. The novelty of the article is determined by the fact that, despite the increased interest in such word combinations, the image of the Russian dictator in science fiction stories published on the Litavitsa Internet platform has not yet been analysed. The purpose of the article was to create a classification of lexemes and lexical combinations denoting the dictator, which set the researcher the task of selecting all fragments of texts that mention the name or periphrastic phrases denoting President Vladimir Putin. The analysis has led to the conclusion that such constructions mostly use the structure ‘adjective (+adjective) + noun’, as well as lexical innovations motivated by the precedent name of both Vladimir Putin himself and the German dictator Adolf Hitler, who are compared to each other.
