A Quantum Approach to Mobile devices Security: Leveraging Enhanced Proof-of-Authority and Public-Key Quantum Signatures

A new type of blockchain security mechanism, named Quantum Digital Signature (QDS) protocol, has been introduced to improve the security level of blockchain systems against the potential threats posed by quantum computing. We discovered critical loopholes in current digital signature (DS) approaches and then, we introduce a highly-efficient method based on quantum cryptography for true minimum consumption of Quantum Keys per transaction under conventional protocols. QDS builds upon our protocol with its ability to scale quickly and efficiently within Mobile devices environments, ensuring its security against future quantum attacks. These issues and more are solved with the use of an enhanced Proof-of-Authority consensus algorithm, powerfully guarded by public-key quantum signatures, offering n othing s hort o f t he m ost i deal s olution t o increase blockchain app security while demonstrating practically viable implementations for quantum technologies. The work underscores the necessity for security countermeasures to change with the advancing landscape of cyber threats and has potential implications in driving the evolution of secure post-quantum blockchain technologies.
