Expanding the spectrum of epidermodysplasia verruciformis: mutations linked to primary immunodeficiency disorders
To our knowledge, this report is the first known association of RMRP mutations with a clinical phenotype of epidermodysplasia verruciformis (EV). The identification of mutations in genes other than EVER1 and EVER2 in patients with EV increases our understanding of genetic predispositions to EV and underscores the need to explore alternative genetic pathways that cause primary immunodeficiencies in patients with an EV phenotype.
