Prospects of Paleozoic Deposits of the Kosbulak Trough in Light of New Geological and Geophysical Data

The study conducted a comprehensive analysis of the geological structure and hydrocarbon potential of the Northern Ustyurt region. The main objective of the research was to assess the block structure of the field and the prospects of its productive deposits. Methods such as 2D and 3D seismic data interpretation, well logging, physical and chemical analysis of fluids, and hydrodynamic studies were applied. As a result, a promising carbonate massif of Upper Permian age was identified, requiring further investigation to confirm its hydrocarbon potential. Additionally, possible connections between Paleozoic and Mesozoic deposits with neighboring fields were discovered, enhancing exploration prospects. Based on the obtained data, directions for further geological exploration were proposed.
