Evaluation of the internal resistance and EMF of a lithium-ion battery model considering changes in its characteristics

The purpose of this research is to improve the accuracy of LIB modeling by ac-counting for changes in the properties of its components, such as those caused by the degradation of the physicochemical characteristics of the materials used. The research methodology is based on the application of equivalent electrical circuit models of LIBs, as well as mathe-matical and computational methods for modeling electrochemical processes and programming algorithms for numeri-cal calculations. The results of the study demonstrate that within the operating range of the battery, the proposed algo-rithm provides a more accurate assessment of the internal parameters for both new and used batteries, leading to more realistic predictions of its operational characteristics. In conclusion, the implementation of this algorithm will enhance the accuracy of lithium-ion battery modeling and can significantly contribute to the development of methods for pre-dicting and managing LIB performance, as well as extending the service life and optimizing the use of LIBs in various technological applications.
