Effectiveness of Homoeopathic Treatment of Bulimia Nervosa with Special Emphasis on Miasmatic Analysis

Bulimia nervosa is a complex eating disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of binge eating followed by compensatory behaviors such as self-induced vomiting, excessive exercise, or laxative use. These behaviors lead to severe physical and psychological consequences, including gastrointestinal issues, electrolyte imbalances, and emotional distress. Conventional treatment often includes cognitive- behavioral therapy (CBT), medication, and dietary management; however, relapse rates remain high. Homoeopathy offers an individualized treatment approach based on miasmatic analysis, addressing both the physical and psychological aspects of the disorder. This study explores the effectiveness of homoeopathic remedies in managing bulimia nervosa by identifying deep-seated miasmatic tendencies contributing to the disorder. By employing a holistic approach, homoeopathy aims to restore balance in the patient, reducing both the frequency of binge-purge episodes and associated emotional disturbances. Dietary recommendations complement homoeopathic treatment, enhancing recovery outcomes. Further clinical trials are necessary to validate the efficacy of homoeopathic intervention in bulimia nervosa management.
