Features of the use of thermal imagers in modern video surveillance systems
At present, Hikvision thermal imaging IP cameras "DS-2TD2617B-6/PA" are among the most relevant and widely used devices in video surveillance systems. To determine the features of the IP camera’s performance under various operating conditions, typical scenarios were identified, simulated, and thoroughly examined, including the stages of commissioning works. Additionally, a comparative analysis of thermal imagers and video cameras was conducted based on key performance parameters under conditions of normal lighting, nighttime darkness, fog, obstructions, and laser exposure. The study highlights several advantages of the thermal imager and its operational features compared to video cameras. The results obtained can be useful for improving the quality of training specialists in the field of information security and the development of surveillance systems.
