DEVELOPMENT OF A MODEL FOR REDUCING WORK PRESSURE AND TURNOVER INTENTION OF INSTRUCTORS OF PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES IN SICHUAN PROVINCE, CHINA
Based on extensive literature research both domestically and internationally, this study found a certain correlation between work pressure and turnover intention among college instructors. We used Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze data collected from 1,310 college instructors in Sichuan Province, China, and validate the developed model. The results showed that work pressure among college instructors in Sichuan Province was significantly positively correlated with turnover intention. Job satisfaction played a mediating role in the relationship between work pressure and turnover intention, while perceived organizational support did not mediate this relationship. These findings offer insights for teachers and researchers regarding work pressure.
