Relationship Between Visual Pathway and Visual Evoked Potential of Reverse Pattern in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Peripheral nervous system disorders caused by diabetes are well-researched, but changes in the central nervous system remain less explored. Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is asymptomatic in its early stages, making detection difficult. The P100 wave of the visual evoked potential (VEP) of reverse pattern has been useful in assessing the post-retinal visual pathway and detecting changes before structural damage occurs.
