Reformation
Can you improve the world by eliminating your worst thoughts? Should you be required to do so? In this work of philosophical short story fiction, Eve is a young woman who visits a store to inquire about purchasing and installing a “Viewer.” The Viewer is a device that monitors thoughts and provides feedback about racist, sexist, and other bias comments or thought in real-time from the “Reformation Collective.” Eve is initially hesitant, but knows her work “strongly” suggests all employees have them. She visits her friend Alima, who has been fired from her job for refusing to get a Viewer. Later, Alima is arrested for her hateful words directed at the Reformation Collective.
