Entrepreneurial ecosystems in hospitality and tourism: A comparative analysis across economic contexts
This article examines the key components of entrepreneurship ecosystems in the hospitality and tourism industry, focusing on policy, finance, culture, support, human capital, and market dynamics. Using data from the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) and the World Bank, the study analyzes how these factors influence entrepreneurial success across different economic contexts. The findings highlight the universal importance of financial access and cultural support, while the impacts of policy and market conditions vary between developing and high-income economies. The study provides theoretical insights and practical recommendations for enhancing entrepreneurship ecosystems tailored to the unique needs of the hospitality and tourism sector.
